Anson Koch-Rein is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Gender, Women’s, and Sexuality Studies at Grinnell College. He received a Magister degree in American Studies and Gender Studies from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and spent a year as an exchange student at the University of California San Diego. He holds a PhD from the Graduate Institute of the Liberal Arts at Emory University with a Certificate in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. His research interests in Transgender and Queer Studies, American Studies, Disability Studies, and Rhetoric shape his current book project on the concept of “dysphoric knowledge.”
